AgeReady is a dynamic, interactive tool that helps family members and friends of older adults plan for the challenges and joys of aging.
The foundation of the AgeReady assessment is a list of tasks that you can complete together to anticipate the changes that often occur later in life.
At AgeReady, we understand that the journey of caring for aging family members and loved ones can be both rewarding and challenging.
We believe that everyone deserves the knowledge, support, and resources to navigate this important phase of life with confidence and compassion.
That’s why we are here—to empower families like yours in preparing for aging family members and caregiving duties.
Our assessment tool explains each task and gives detailed guidance on how to complete them.
The tasks are divided into four different domains: medical, legal/financial, family/social, and spiritual, and represent different aspects of caregiving and planning for future care.
Are you wondering how you’ll know when you’re prepared? Your AgeReady readiness score is calculated based off of task completion.
It is designed to determine your caregiver readiness so that you can feel confident and prepared.
Each task comes with a list of resources if you still wish for more information outside of the application.
Need a place to keep track of everything? AgeReady has a secure document storage system where you can upload legal documents, doctor information, and more.
You can play a key role in maximizing the quality of care the older adult receives by completing the tasks in this module.
Set up the older adult for financial success and ensure final wishes are carried out. Doing this before the time comes can reduce stress.
Caregiving is easier when everyone is on the same page while planning for future care. These tasks take the guesswork out of planning.
Spiritual and emotional support can have a strong positive association with health and wellness.
With support from the Hartford Foundation, founder Dr. Michael Parker, and his research team, completed a successful clinical trial of the AgeReady program at Maxwell Air Force Base with US Air War College attendees. Next, they completed successful feasibility studies with religious congregations and human resource departments at two major universities. Using this research, AgeReady has transformed into the program that it is today.
We at AgeReady are confident that caregiving can be consistently delivered in a kind, intelligent manner when caregivers make an informed entry into their caregiving journeys.
